A normal system records what happened. Clearwings also understands whether the operation is ready for it to happen.

Everything on this page is fabricated. The registrations, people, vehicles and measurements are invented for illustration, and this is not an operational record. The screens, the wording and the rules are the real ones.

The model, in one example

Four things must be right at the same time.

An aircraft cannot take off with ice on its wings, so a rig sprays it clear minutes before departure. Nothing about that job is optional.

De-icing is the clearest example, not the whole product. The same shape holds for qualifications, daily checks, vehicles and equipment, fluids, inspections, and the operational decisions that rest on them.

Clearwings records the treatment. It does not calculate or suggest how long the protection lasts — that judgement belongs to the people qualified to make it, and the app never makes it for them.

A rig can be mechanically ready while one fluid is not. A single green badge hides that, so there isn't one: the vehicle answers for itself, and each fluid answers for itself.

The operator enters what the refractometer read. Clearwings never asks anyone to do the lookup by hand, and the chart it used is named on the record — a freezing point is only as trustworthy as the sheet behind it.

The board never judges for itself: the sentences under a waiting job are the vehicle and fluid gates answering, in the order a supervisor resolves them. Rosters, shifts and staffing plans are deliberately not here — that planning belongs to the sister product Schedulelinked. Dispatch is today's matching, nothing more.

A blocking finding holds its vehicle until it is closed, or until the programme manager releases it with a stated reason. The release lifts the hold — it does not close the finding.

Fluid management

A red tag, until someone earns the green one

Fluid arrives, and every container gets the manual's red do-not-use tag. It turns green only when the paperwork is cross-checked and the lot's sample is confirmed within the supplier's specification — by a person qualified to say so.

The failed lot was sampled twice — a single bad result never condemns a lot, and a good second result never erases a bad first. A confirmed failure quarantines every container of that lot, because the sample represents the lot, and opens an owned finding. Clearwings does not judge the sample itself: it has no sales-specification tables, and the in-service limits govern something else entirely.

Limits and charts change every winter. They enter as a new version, are reviewed against the active one, and only become operative when someone with the mandate activates them.

Management's own checklist, word for word

Twice a season, the programme manager — or someone they nominated, on a dated record — watches a live job against the manual's eleven points. Clearwings holds the wording exactly as the manual has it, and turns every failed point into an owned action.

The failed point opened a finding, owned and dated, without anyone writing it out. Not-applicable is neither a pass nor a failure — it cannot be read later as “checked and fine”, and it opens nothing.

The season

What stands between now and a winter that is ready

Every recurring obligation is judged against the season it belongs to — not a date someone typed once. Nothing is overdue when no season is running, and last winter's inspection never silences this year's requirement.

One of these says cadence not defined by source. The manual requires it periodically but never says how often — so Clearwings shows the question instead of inventing an interval. A made-up due date becomes the truth once it has sat there a season.

A register of the current revision and where to find it. Clearwings does not reproduce or summarise a sheet: a paraphrase that has drifted from the original is at its most dangerous exactly when someone needs it.

The direction is to connect both sides of the operation — the ground team running the work and the customer requesting the service — in one simple flow, and to bring environmental and glycol stewardship into the same record.
